The Modified Ford Series is for any Ford sports or saloon car ‘production in appearance’
Build date up to and including 2013 models.
Examples Fiesta MK7 (1st gen. 2008 – 2017) or Focus MK3 (2011-2018)
Simple regulations to accommodate the extreme variation of modifications found in yesterday’s Ford racing cars. We like to be inclusive, not exclusive.
2026 Class Structure
Eligible Cars
All Ford models up to and including 2013 build date. Various engine types are allowed. (Excludes vans, pick-ups and 'non-production appearance' variants) Spaceframe, 4wd and non-Ford engines are eligible in the Super Classes.
Classes A-C
All UK and European Ford production cars. (Ford 'derivative' engines…i.e., Millington, Smith & Jones etc.) 4wd & V8’s are Super Classes
Class A
Forced induction multi-valve engines and Ecoboost engines over 1750cc. Normally aspirated multi-valve V6 engines - All V8 engines. Normally aspirated multi-valve 4-cylinder engines over 2550cc
Class B+
Normally aspirated multi-valve 4-cylinder engines over 2150cc up to 2550cc. Ecoboost engines & forced induction multi-valve engines below 1750cc
Class B
Normally aspirated dual-valve engines over 1850cc, including V6. Multi-valve engines over 1750cc up to 2150cc
Class C
Normally aspirated dual-valve engines up to 1850cc & multi-valve engines up to 1750cc
Super Classes
Cars (any date of build) but to be 'Ford production appearance' as above mentioned models (released circa 2013)
All 4wd variants. Ford & non-Ford engines. Space frame cars allowed (Euro cars by invitation)
Super A
Forced induction multi-valve & Ecoboost engines over 1750cc. Normally aspirated multi-valve V6 engines - All V8 engines.
Super B
Normally aspirated multi-valve 4-cylinder engines. All normally aspirated dual-valve 4-cyl. & V6 engines.
Ecoboost engines below 1750cc & all forced induction dual-valve 4-cyl. engines.
Start Procedure: All races are ‘rolling start’
Classes A to C
Minimum Weights – including driver. No success ballast will be applied. Class A – 2wd – turbo 950kgs/4cyl. normally aspirated - 800kg. Class B+, B & C - 800kgs
Bodywork Classes A, B+, B & C:
All external panels including internal rear separating bulkhead – material free but excludes structural elements (A and B pillars) All internal panels including chassis, floor pan*, inner and outer sills, inner wings, wheel tubs and front bulkhead shall remain as produced by the manufacturer except for – modifying and strengthening, but not for making lighter. Wheel arches are not to exceed 150mm from each side of that produced on the model of car entered. *The floor panel behind the rear axle can be partially cut/modified for removal of spare wheel well or integration of fuel cell. Material is free but to be of similar strength.
Aerodynamics:
Side skirts/air splitters/diffusers/flat floor under-carriage are allowed. Tailgate/boot aerofoils/wings allowed BUT not exceeding the body width (includes wheel arch extensions) Rear wing overhang not to exceed 100mm.
Engine A, B+, B & C:
Cylinder block – any Ford manufactured engine or generic copy of. The cylinder head, induction and exhaust system are free. The location of the engine is not to exceed 150mm in any direction from its original position. The engine may be rotated to suit driven wheels.
Transmission:
Transmission is free. Sequential & paddle shift is permitted.
Brakes:
Braking configuration is free. ABS is permitted
Suspension A, B+, B & C:
Modifications and use of rose joints can be used in place of standard. Live or beam axles cannot be changed to independent type. It is permitted in the Super Classes
Axle/Drive Permitted options:
Any configuration of driven wheels is permitted. Traction control is permitted on cars over 500+bhp, and on cars where it’s fitted as standard or optional equipment by the manufacturer.
Wheels and Tyres: All Classes
Wheels and tyre types are free/Either slick or treaded tyres.
Fuel
102 RON race fuel is permitted.
Super Classes
No weight restrictions. 4wd - 1050kgs (Previously in Class A) **The reason for the 4wd weight limit is that a separate Class may be re-introduced into Class A at a later date** Chassis is free. Body is free to but to be ‘production in appearance’ Engine type/position and transmission are free. Axle/drive & suspension is free. Traction control is permitted.
All Classes - Not permitted:
Tyre warmers. Race fuel over 102 RON.
If it’s not in the regulations, not used by the majority and considered an advantage it’s likely to be deemed prohibited. Please ask if you are in doubt.

2021 Yearbook Regulations: Section Q – Circuit racing (extract)
That is 340bhp at the wheels if the limit if your car is 1000kgs.
It’s an approximate increase of 15%bhp if measured at the flywheel - that’s roughly 0.39bhp/kg
So that is 390 bhp (flywheel) for a car that weighs 1000kg (without driver)

Seats are okay to be out of date.
Harnesses....
FIA standard 8853-2016 may be used for up to five years after the year stated on the label.
FIA standards 8853/98 and 8854/98 may be used until 31st December of the year stated on the label.
